Flaster Greenberg Promotes Two Attorneys to Shareholders

Conshohocken, PA (December 20, 2021) – Flaster Greenberg PC, a full-service commercial business law firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Eric R. Clendening and E. Marc Miller to shareholder effective January 1, 2022.

Clendening is a member of Flaster Greenberg’s Intellectual Property and Litigation Departments. He focuses his practice on trademark, copyright, unfair competition, strategic counseling, and prosecution matters. He also advises clients on the adoption and clearance of trademarks, protecting and enforcing their intellectual property rights, including the resolution of domain name disputes, online speech and conduct, and related intellectual property issues involving trademarks and copyrights. He has experience litigating many types of commercial disputes in both federal and state courts, including antitrust, contract disputes, employment litigation, and other business tort claims.

Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Clendening is a graduate of Washington University School of Law, cum laude, where he served as associate editor of the Global Studies Law Review. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Cornell University, where he double majored in Honors American Studies and Italian Studies.

Miller is a member of the firm’s Business & Corporate Law Department and focuses his practice on the crafting of estate plans consisting of wills, trusts, and financial and health care powers of attorney, tailor-made to address each client’s unique situation. As part of the estate planning process, he works closely with clients in the implementation of their estate plans by advising them on how to best structure the titling of their assets, and assisting them in making appropriate beneficiary designations consistent with their estate planning objectives. He is also actively involved in estate administration matters, guiding executors in the collection, retitling and distribution of estate assets, and timely payment of estate and inheritance taxes.

Other transactional matters that Miller is routinely involved with include the transfer and sale of real property, preparation of loan and mortgage instruments for intra-family loans, and the formation of charitable trusts and foundations. For clients with closely-held business interests, Miller assists with the formation and operation of closely-held entities, and is involved in structuring buy-sell and cross-purchase agreements to facilitate the client’s business succession planning.

Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and Maryland, Miller received his J.D. from Emory University School of Law and his LL.M. in Taxation from Temple University Beasley School of Law. He received his B.S. in Business and Kinesiology (with distinction) from Indiana University.
