Israel-Solidarity Gathering Taking Place In Cherry Hill
Township Council postponed its meeting 'in light of the tragic events in Israel and the numerous community gatherings' taking place Tuesday.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey will hold an Israel Solidarity Gathering on Tuesday evening in Cherry Hill.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 7 p.m. at Temple Beth Sholom (1901 Kresson Rd.).
Cherry Hill Township Council — originally scheduled to meet Tuesday — postponed its upcoming meeting to Oct. 16 "in light of the tragic events in Israel and the numerous community gatherings taking place on Tuesday evening."

Overflow parking will be available at Chabad Lubavitch in Cherry Hill. A shuttle bus from the Katz KCC Community Center in the township will be available as of 6:30 p.m.
Violence between Palestine and Israel continues to escalate after Palestinian militant groups led a large-scale offensive that broke through the Gaza-Israel barrier. More than 1,000 Israelis and 788 Palestinians have been killed, with thousands wounded on both sides since Saturday's Hamas-led uprising, according to their respective governments.
