Man Killed His Parents In South Jersey: Prosecutor
Police went to the home for a well-being check. They found 2 people who appeared to have suffered stab wounds, authorities said.
HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ — Prosecutors accused a man of killing his parents after police found them dead Monday morning inside his home.
Craig P. Williams faces several charges, including two counts of first-degree murder, after state troopers found Brenda L. Williams and Billy C. Williams Jr. dead inside the Hopewell Township residence, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office.
Members of the New Jersey State Police responded to the Tipton Drive home at about 7:30 a.m. Monday for a well-being check, authorities said. They found Brenda and Billy, who appeared to have suffered stab wounds, said County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae.

Autopsy results are pending, prosecutors said. The investigation is ongoing.

- first-degree murder (two counts)
- third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (two counts)
- fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon (two counts)
- second-degree desecration of human remains (two counts)
- third-degree hindering apprehension and prosecution (one count)
- fourth-degree obstruction (one count)
- fourth-degree tampering with evidence (one count)
The state moved to detain Williams, who was placed in Cumberland County Jail.
