Man Killed In Hit-And-Run Involving Stolen Vehicle In Camden: Prosecutor
Authorities are trying to identify the driver, who they say struck a parked car shortly after hitting and killing a motorcyclist.
CAMDEN, NJ — An unknown driver in a stolen vehicle struck and killed a motorcyclist before fleeing the scene and crashing elsewhere Thursday in Camden, authorities told Patch.
Officers were dispatched to the initial crash scene around 6:45 p.m., when they found the motorcycle rider lying unconscious in the intersection of South 7th and Jefferson streets.
The victim — Kenneth Smith, 64, of Camden — was brought to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:09 p.m. that night.

Investigators later determined that a driver in a stolen Chevrolet Blazer struck Smith's motorcycle and fled the scene, said Dan Keashan, a Camden County Police Department spokesperson.
Shortly after, the stolen vehicle hit an unoccupied parked car on the 2100 block of Master Street, Keashan said.

Nobody was inside the stolen vehicle when police found it.
Detectives are trying to identify the driver as of Monday afternoon.
