Speakers including the mayor and fire chief focused on honoring the 2,977 victims and fallen first responders, continuing a long-running local tradition that connects today's public safety personnel and residents to the events of 2001.
   

• First responders recount 9/11 during Camden Catholic assembly (catholicstarherald.org) — Students at Camden Catholic High School in Cherry Hill heard firsthand 9/11 stories from former New York City police officers and Air Force medics during a special assembly. Speakers described their experiences at the Pentagon and Ground Zero, then urged students to value community, preparedness, and service as they carry the memory of that day forward.
