CAMDEN, NJ — A driver was charged one month after his vehicle fatally struck a child bicyclist and injured another in Camden, authorities said. Investigators found that Troy Kee II was speeding during the crash, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office (CCPO).

Kee, 32, was charged Wednesday with second-degree death by auto and fourth-degree assault by auto. He also received several motor vehicle summonses.

The Oaklyn resident's vehicle struck two child cyclists just before 8 p.m. Sept. 25 around Mt. Ephraim and Ferry Avenues, the CCPO said. One of the cyclists — a 12-year-old girl — was pronounced dead at the scene. A 14-year-old girl was taken to Cooper University Hospital in critical condition and has since been released, officials said.
