SOUTH JERSEY — A sushi bar, Indian cuisine and some Philly pro athletes are on their way to South Jersey, while a local community says goodbye to a longtime restaurant.

SweetWater Bar And Grill Permanently Closes

Earlier this month, SweetWater Bar and Grill in Cinnaminson announced that it would close permanently on Saturday, Aug. 24. George Kyrtatas, an acclaimed chef known for Greek cuisine, opened the restaurant in 2012 in the same building as his family's former diner, Hathaway's. SweetWater's closure brings the Kyrtatas family's four-decade run in the location in the location to an end. Read more on Patch.
New Sushi Restaurant Among 9 Businesses Coming To Cherry Hill Mall

An Asian-fusion restaurant is among several establishments on their way to Cherry Hill Mall. Kooma Asian Fusion and Sushi Bar is expected to open this fall, according to PREIT, the mall's parent company. The restaurants tout hand-picked ingredients and a wide selection of sushi. Kooma's menu also features stone pot bibimbaps, stir-fry and other delicacies. Read more on Patch.
New Indian Restaurant On Its Way To Cherry Hill
Also coming to Cherry Hill: a new option for Indian fare. Palnadu Indian Cuisine touts authentic Andhra and Hyderabadi cuisine, serving traditional dishes from multiple regions of India. Read more on Patch.
Eagles, Phillies Visiting Mall To Meet Fans
Eagles captain Brandon Graham and Phillies slugger Nick Castellanos are among the Philly pro athletes heading to Deptford Mall. Fans can get autographs from and photos with hometown favorites during a pair of events in the coming weeks. Read more on Patch.
4 Weed Businesses Coming To Cinnaminson
Several weed businesses have received the green light to set up shop in Cinnaminson, including a manufacturer that will open a small dispensary. The businesses are primarily manufacturers. But one will use part of its facility for "very limited retail," which is projected to be ready next summer, officials told Patch. Read more on Patch.
