Third Probable Monkeypox Case Reported By Camden County Officials
This latest case "is not a cause for panic," Camden County's Health Officer said.
CAMDEN, NJ â A third probable case of monkeypox was detected in Camden County, federal and state health officials said on Tuesday.
The exact location of this third person with the likely case of monkeypox would not be and cannot be provided, a Camden County spokesperson told Patch.
This third person tested positive for the disease on Friday, Camden County said. This third person is also "isolating at home and the case remains under investigation," Camden County said.

Word of the third case in Camden County "is not a cause for panic, but residents need to remain vigilant when it comes to monkeypox," said Paschal Nwako, Camden County Health Officer and Public Health Coordinator.
"Please exercise caution when it comes to interacting with people outside of your household and stay aware of any symptom [such as] fever, headache, muscle ache, chills and a pimple or blister-like rash," he continued.

Individuals may potentially avoid contracting monkeypox by avoiding direct contact â such as touching, kissing, sharing utensils, handling items or having intercourse â with those individuals who have probable or confirmed monkeypox, Nwako said.
Individuals may also possibly avoid contracting the disease by washing their hands frequently, he said.
There were 89 probable and confirmed cases of monkeypox in the Garden State as of 3:55 p.m. Tuesday, according to the New Jersey Department of Health.
