Tommy's Tavern To Open In Cherry Hill
Tommy's Tavern + Tap recently expanded into the South Jersey market and will replace the shuttered Houlihan's in Cherry Hill.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — A growing chain of restaurants plans to expand into Cherry Hill. Tommy's Tavern + Tap intends to open in the township next year, replacing the shuttered Houlihan's.
Houlihan's closed the 2050 Route 70 location last January. While Houlihan's has initiated sudden closures at several New Jersey locations over the past few years, Tommy's Tavern has emerged.
The Cherry Hill restaurant has an estimated opening of spring 2024, the company announced Wednesday on social media.

Tommy's Tavern prides itself on having something for everyone, including pizza, sushi, wings and alcoholic beverages. Founder Thomas Bonfiglio died in July 2022 at age 62, but his family continues to run the business and carry his legacy.
In 2021, Bonfiglio told Patch that Tommy's has something for everyone on the menu, plus a multi-generational atmosphere.
"You can literally walk in there on a date, for a post-work happy hour, a family dinner with all kids in tow, a girl's night out with the pickiest eater you know," he said, "and see that each person in the group can find at least 10 items or more on the menu that would suit their interests."
