15-Year-Old Arrested in Carjacking of 82-Year-Old Woman: Police

The teen was arrested in Atlantic City on Tuesday.

A 15-year-old Atlantic City boy has been arrested in the carjacking of an 82-year-old woman in Burlington County earlier this month, New Jersey State Police said on Thursday.

The assault and carjack occurred Saturday, June 11, at 9:30 p.m., in the parking lot of a supermarket in Hainesport, Burlington County, when the victim’s 48-year-old daughter left her mother in her car with the keys while she went into a store.

Police allege this is when the unnamed teenager assaulted the 82-year-old woman and forced her out of the car before driving away.
