Cinnaminson Field Hockey Team Falls to Haddon Township in Playoffs

The loss capped a season that saw the Pirates string together an eight-game unbeaten streak, according to nj.com.

Goalie Sara Ruppert made 12 saves, but it wasn’t enough for the Cinnaminson High School field hockey team to advance in the Central Jersey Group I playoffs, according to nj.com.

Sixth-seeded Cinnaminson fell to No. 3 Haddon Township, 5-1, in the quarterfinals. Marissa Sozio scored the lone goal for the Pirates.

The loss capped a 10-7-1 season that saw the Pirates string together an eight-game unbeaten streak. From Sept. 22-Oct. 17, the Pirates defense was also responsible for pitching eight shutouts over the course of 10 games.
