Cinnaminson High School Baseball Team Advances to South Jersey Final
The Pirates face top-seeded West Deptford in the final on Friday.

Cinnaminson, NJ -- The Cinnaminson High School baseball team is one win away from a South Jersey title.
The sixth-seeded Pirates defeated No. 10 Manchester Township, 7-3, to advance to the finals of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 playoffs on Tuesday, according to nj.com.
Cinnaminson will face top seeded West Deptford, an 8-0 winner over No. 4 Audubon, in the final on Friday.

Joe Cody was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Cinnaminson’s win, according to the report.
Winning pitcher Brandon Straub struck out six, walked six and gave up four hits. Christian Massara and Mike Bednarek each had a pair of hits and two RBI.

Thanks to a series of upsets, Cinnaminson will play on the road in the playoffs for the first time in the final, despite being seeded sixth.
Cinnaminson opened the playoffs with a 6-2 win over No. 11 Sterling.
In the quarterfinals, the Pirates defeated No. 14 Collingswood, 10-9. Collingswood had advanced with a 14-6 upset win over No. 3 Cedar Creek. It was Collingswood’s first playoff win in 21 years.
Even Manchester Township was able to pull an upset downing No. 2 Haddonfield 4-1, in the semifinals.
