Cinnaminson Man Arrested for Recent Burglaries: Police

Cinnaminson, NJ -- A Cinnaminson man has been arrested and charged in connection with several recent burglaries, police said Thursday morning.

Steven Keklak, 36, was initially stopped by police officer Mike Curran on April 30 while Curran was patrolling an area of the town that had been experiencing multiple commercial burglaries.

Curran stopped Keklak for a motor vehicle violation, and subsequently saw numerous items inside Keklak’s car consistent with the types of proceeds from previous burglaries.

Police say Keklak was unable to provide information about where he obtained the items when questioned. All items were secured for safe keeping, but there was not enough evidence to detain Keklak because another burglary had not yet been reported.

He was issued vehicle summonses and was released.

Following the stop, Cinnaminson Police began checking the industrial park to see if they could locate a business that had just been burglarized.

Officers soon discovered that multiple cars had been burglarized near a business in the 1800 block of Union Landing Road. Police contacted the owner of the business, who identified the property recovered from Keklak’s car as having been stolen from his business.

Warrants were then issued for Keklak, who was arrested without incident on May 3.

He was charged with burglary, theft, obstruction, hindering, recieving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $35,000 full, and he was lodged in Burlington County Jail pending court.
