Cinnaminson to Play in Rancocas Valley Baseball Finals

Cinnaminson will face Burlington in the Rancocas Valley Baseball League finals beginning Saturday night, according to rvlbaseball.com.

Cinnaminson entered the league playoffs as the top seed, but was taken to a full three-game series in the semifinals.

After defeating Willingboro, 3-0, in the first game, Willingboro came back for a 9-8 win on Wednesday.

On Thursday night, Cinnaminson ended the series with a 5-2 win.

Eric Gertie picked up the win on the mound, fanning seven and allowing seven hits in seven innings of work.

At the plate, Kyle Ballay was 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run. John Dockins was 2-for-2 with an RBI, while Bill Dove was 2-for-3 with a run.

Burlington defeated Riverside, 2 games to none, in the semifinals.

The finals are a best-of-five series that runs Saturday-Wednesday, if necessary.
