The district quoted a decrease in the Jewish population and an increase in the population among other religions for the change in policy.

Cinnaminson, NJ -- A “significant reduction in the Jewish population and the rise of the populations of other religions” contributed to the Cinnaminson School District’s decision to have school on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, school officials said.

The change was made after the holidays were included in the school calendar for the last 40-50 years, according to the report.
