Cinnaminson Wrestling Team Wins District 26 Crown
The Pirates edged Holy Cross at the District 26 tournament over the weekend.

The Cinnaminson High School wrestling team won another team title this weekend.
The Pirates edged Holy Cross, 182-178, to win the District 26 championship this weekend, according to nj.com.
The Pirates took home five individual titles, compared to four for Holy Cross.

The teams went head-to-head in one final, as Cinnaminson’s Ryan Teague defeated Holy Cross’s Greg Long by injury default at 126 pounds. Teague advanced to the final with a 3-0 win over Burlington Township’s Brandon Felkins in the semifinals. In the quarterfinals, he pinned Bordentown’s Matt Potash.
At 113, Isaiah Ellis defeated Burlington City’s Jonathan Alcott, 5-0, to capture the title. Elias advanced to the final with a major decision victory over Holy Cross’s Chase Mullarkey. In the quarterfinals, he pinned Burlington Township’s Seamus Gallagher in one minute.

Pat Morton captured the 160-pound championship with a 3-1 win over Riverside’s Kenny Swartz. He advanced to the final with a pinfall victory over Moorestown’s Nate Dalmass in the semifinals.
Zack Sireci is the 182-pound champion following an 11-5 win over Delran’s Peter Evola in the final. He advanced to the final with a major decision victory over Burlington City’s Qadir Modraza in the semifinals.
Heavyweight Keith Swartley won the district crown with a sudden victory over Delran’s Calen West. Swartley defeated Moorestown’s Zach Moore, 1-0, in the semifinals.
Cinnaminson is sending a total of eight wrestlers on to the regional round. The top three wrestlers in each weight class advance.
Anthony Pencock finished second at 138, after a major decision loss to Delran’s Phil Rogers. Pencock advanced to the final with a 6-2 win over Bordentown’s Tyler Kerr in the semifinals. In the quarterfinals, he pinned Moorestown’s Christos Katsifis.
Moorestown’s Tyreek Smith picked up a sudden victory over Tom Halecki the 220-pound final. Halecki defeated Delran’s Devin Rolon, 2-0, in the semifinals.
Shaun Davila finished third at 170 pounds after defeating Riverside’s Zeke Brinson by major decision in the consolation round. He fell to Holy Cross’s Kenny Long by pinfall in the semifinal round after pinning Burlington City’s Jared Jones in the quarterfinals.
Cinnaminson’s team title came one week after the Pirates beat Point Pleasant Beach, 55-18, for the Central Jersey Group I title. Two days later, Cinnaminson fell to Paulsboro in the state team semifinals.
