Inaugural Relay For Life Cinnaminson Event Set For Sept. 30

It will take place at the Cinnaminson High School track.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Cinnaminson’s inaugural townwide Relay for Life event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 30, 6 p.m.-midnight at the Cinnaminson High School track. Cinnaminson Mayor Anthony Minniti said he and School Resource Officer Michael Czarzasty put the event together to help build a closer community while supporting a worthy cause.

“Cancer is a disease that has touched all of our lives. Many residents have participated in Relay events, but often in other towns and under different organizations,” Minniti said.

He said he believes having the event in Cinnaminson will “provide greater access to participation, both at the resident and business level, while giving our town another opportunity to come together as one community.”
They are seeking teams, fundraisers, sponsors and volunteers. The Relay for Life Organization has set the township’s first year fundraising goal at $50,000.

“If we meet our goal, we will be ‘endorsed’ for a second event next year,” Minniti said. “Please take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to help our town build an event that we hope will become an annual tradition. Since this is our first year, we welcome all ideas. Our goal is for this Relay event to be uniquely ‘Cinnaminson.’”
