CINNAMINSON, NJ — The new coronavirus outbreak in New Jersey and across the nation is having vast impacts in Cinnaminson, including the closure of schools and many businesses.

The number of cases of the illness caused by the virus, known as COVID-19, continue to rise. The governor has declared a Stay at Home order throughout the state. All non-life-sustaining businesses in New Jersey have been closed.

As of Monday morning, there were 167 cases of new coronavirus in Burlington County, including four in Cinnaminson. There are more than 13,000 cases in New Jersey as of Sunday, and 161 people have died as a result of COVID-19.

BUSINESS

Cinnaminson businesses now have a centralized place where they can let the residents know about the goods and services they are offering during the outbreak of new coronavirus.

“Ogomap” is a website that was created to aggregate information about the availability of goods and services during emergencies. Business owners can register through this website to show what steps they are taking to protect their employees and the general public. SCHOOLS

All schools in New Jersey remain closed in response to the new coronavirus outbreak, state officials said. MORE.

The Cinnaminson Public School District remains closed, and has implemented a remote learning plan. It may reopen on April 20 at the earliest. It is offering three meals a day every Monday, and two meals a day every Thursday.

Cinnaminson municipal offices, police department and public works are closed to the public, and the most recent township committee meeting was cancelled. The library is closed, and municipal court has also been cancelled. The police department recently posted an update on firearm sales.

The neighbors have gotten together and are helping those who are running out of items and need deliveries. It's called "Cinnaminson Helping Cinnaminson 2020."
