UPDATE: Man Accused of Hitting South Jersey Police Officer Faces Additional Charges
Brandon Belton faces additional drug charges after a search of his car, the Burlington County Times.

Additional charges have been filed against a Willingboro man facing charges of aggravated assault of a police officer and attempted manslaughter after he allegedly hit Riverside Police Sgt. Amaya Urtasun, the Burlington County Times reports.
Brandon Belton has been additionally charged with possession of CDS with intent to distribute, distribution of CDS on school property and distribution of CDS near a public park, according to the report.
The additional charges were filed following a search of Belton’s impounded vehicle, according to the report.

Belton’s bail was initially set at $100,000, but was lowered to $75,000.
He was released on bail, but returned to jail on Monday, according to the report.

Belton allegedly struck Urtasun, a 17-year-veteran of the force as he allegedly attempted to escape during questioning. Urtasun was responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle at Riverside Elementary School.
Belton and 39-year-old Bonnie Manning, of Riverside, were charged in the case.
Urtasun was hospitalized with knee and abdominal injuries.
