Nurse Says State Trooper 'Fought for His Life'

Stephanie Fisher told 6 ABC Sean Cullen battled for his life Monday night.

The nurse who treated New Jersey State Trooper Sean Cullen tells 6 ABC the dying trooper changed her life.

“Trooper is seriously an understatement because he was fighting for his life,” Stephanie Fisher said in an interview with the news station.

She said she went home after attempting to help him and posted on Facebook "This what I was born to do, help save lives."

Fisher, a nurse for about two years, arrived on the scene with her boyfriend as they were driving home from dinner, according to the report. Her boyfriend is also a state trooper, and they stopped to see if they could assist with the initial accident investigation on 295.

Cullen, a Cinnaminson resident, was hit shortly after, and Fisher rushed to his side to help.

Cullen died from head injuries sustained during the accident around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
