Palmyra Riverton Inferno Advances in State Youth Soccer Cup
The team hosts Jersey Shore Boca Jr. FC Saturday in Palmyra.

The Palmyra Riverton SC Inferno U-14 youth soccer team will host Jersey Shore Boca Jr. FC in the second round of the New Jersey Youth Soccer State Cup Saturday, Sept. 27, 3:30 p.m. at Legion Field in Palmyra.
The Inferno advanced to the second round with a first round overtime victory over the Sport Newark Benfica Falcons, 3-1, in Newark.
Jeffrey Elliot played a role in all three goals for the Inferno.

With his team trailing, 1-0, he scored the game tying goal off a pass from Mason Domico near the end of regulation.
In the first overtime, his second goal gave the Inferno a 2-1 lead.

In the second overtime, his free kick set up a Danny Kay header that found the back of the net for the final tally.
The defense and midfield did a great job throughout the game and goalie Liam Brett made some nice saves to secure the win.
The New Jersey Youth Soccer State Cup began with 64 teams last weekend. The second round features 32 teams, and takes place Saturday.
