Staying Connected During Coronavirus Topic Of Facebook Town Hall

Staying connected despite Gov. Phil Murphy's stay-at-home order is the subject of this week's Rowan College Facebook Town Hall.

BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — Although Gov. Phil Murphy’s stay-at-home order is keeping people apart, there’s a way everyone can stay connected. Rowan College at Burlington County will share ways to do just that during this week’s Facebook Town Hall.

Rowan College at Burlington County’s Director of Student Life John Costa and Assistant Director of Testing and Tutoring Sherley Cadet will share their tips and experiences creating a virtual campus community that remains open when students can’t physically access the campus.

The event will stream live on the college’s Facebook page at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Viewers can submit questions throughout the livestream and at rcbc.edu/coronavirus.

The college launched the series to help the public learn more about the virus. The first three sessions explored the impact of coronavirus on mental health; provided insight into the pandemic from Dr. Helene Paxton, who teaches Microbiology, and Anatomy and Physiology at the college; and gavecollege nursing students the chance to share their experiences from the front lines fighting the virus.
