Woman Left 2-Year-Old in Locked Car While Shoplifting at Cinnaminson ShopRite: Police
The child was found hidden under a blanket in the car while the woman was being arrested.

Cinnaminson, NJ -- A Philadelphia woman hid a 2-year-old child under a blanket in a parked car while she went into a ShopRite in Cinnaminson on Wednesday, police said.
Kaneesha Hunt-Herrington, 30, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and shoplifting after she was allegedly caught stealing $220 worth of items from the ShopRite at 141 Route 130 South.
Police reported to the store around 11:47 a.m., and arrested her without incident. However, police soon learned she wasn’t alone/

Further investigation revealed that she had driven to the store with a 2-year-old child, who she left locked in the car and hidden under a blanket while she went into the store.
The child was turned over to family members by New Jersey Child Protection and Permanency.

Hunt-Herrington was lodged in Burlington County Jail on $50,000 bail, pending court.
