Clark Childhood Friend Diagnosed With Cancer, In Need Of Help

Friends since they were 10, a childhood friend of Carol Kitson has created a gofundme page to help her with mounting medical bills.

CLARK, NJ — Donna Marie Barwick has been friends with Carol Kitson since she was 10 years old. Tragically, Kitson was recently diagnosed with stage two cancer in her lymph nodes and breast.

With medical bills piling up and her limited ability to work, Barwick wanted to help her childhood friend. So she set up a gofundme page to raise money for Kitson.

Kitson now lives in the Bayville area and was working as a nanny to five children. She recently underwent surgery to have part of her breast removed. And now she is undergoing radiation and other treatments.

As a result, with her limited energy now, she can only care for one or two children.

Kitson must go to radiation five times a week at $60 a day, which adds up to $300 a week. Chemo is once a week for six months with similar costs.

Barwick set a goal $10,000 to help Kitson with medical bills, co-payments and just to “help her raise money to help her along with getting the treatment that she needs,” Barwick said.

“Please help our nanny Carol kick cancer’s butt so she can get better and get back to doing what she does and loves best,” Barwick said on the gofundme page.
