What better way to help ourselves and mother earth than by reducing waste and the use of toxic chemicals. By saying no to disposables and toxic cleaning ingredients you can also save money.
Did you know that about 1 million plastic bags are used every minute that a single plastic bag can take up to 1,000 years to degrade, and that more than 3.5 million tons of plastic bags, sacks and wraps were discarded in 2008 alone. Join our grassroots movement (or ramp up your current efforts few notches) as we strive toward a more sensible, conscious consumption of disposables and reduce the use of toxic cleaners. This meeting will explore how you can make a huge difference at home, at your children’s school with lunches and snacks, and in the community as a whole.
We gather at St. Paul’s United Church - 213 Center Street, Garwood.
