Garwood's Daisy Girl Scout Troop #41108 donated a sweet treat to those working on the front line during the new coronavirus outbreak.
GARWOOD, NJ — Garwood's Daisy Girl Scout Troop #41108 donated a sweet treat to those working on the front line during the new coronavirus outbreak.
The troop donated 30 boxes of Girl Scout cookies and handmade cards to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway.
"During this time, we feel that hospital staff are the true heroes. They are the ones who leave their families during this time to help all those in need and put their lives at risk. The girls enjoyed making cards that would bring smiles to those who really need it now. We wanted them to know we are thinking about them and are thankful for all that they do," said Troop Leader Vanessa Schubring.

"As the troop leader, I'm very proud of all my girls. I was very impressed by all of their cards and drawings, but most of all how they understood that nurses and doctors were on the front line right now helping others," Schubring said.
Union County has a total of 262 positive COVID-19 cases as of Wednesday.
