Why are you seeking elective office?

As a 35-year resident of Garwood I wish to continue to give back to the the town I raised my three daughters in and now see three of my grandsons growing up in. I wish to bring a conservative voice to the dais and represent all my constituents. I've thus far enjoyed my time on council listening to the people of Garwood and doing what’s right for them.

The single most pressing issue facing our community is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

I plan to bring to council my 35 years experience in the construction industry to assist in managing the infrastructure changes and major developments going up in our borough. I feel I've already made a difference in working on the planning board, street and road committee, and being the borough fire commissioner.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

Commitment, many candidates wishing to get involved in politics and/or local government don't always understand the time and effort required to fulfill this position. After completing your full time job your work continues as a councilman preparing for workshops, council meetings, responding to emails, listening to citizens, visiting worksites , attending all community events. I have made that commitment I’m not sure my challengers will.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform

I stand first and foremost for the safety of our community, cooperation and civility in local government, fiscal responsibility, and community.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

On my 2 and 1/2 years on council I felt helping to spearhead efforts to secure the purchase of our much needed and first ever ladder truck.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I've committed to devoting my time to listening to all the residents of Garwood and representing them on council.
