Head-On Crash With Linden School Bus Hospitalizes 2 Drivers

A car driving on E. Linden Avenue crashed head on with a Linden school bus, which did not have any children on board, police said.

LINDEN, NJ — A head-on crash involving a Linden school bus and a car sent two drivers to the hospital on Thursday morning, police say.

At about 7:45 a.m. a school bus, which did not have any children on board, was driving east on E. Linden Avenue in the 200 block area when a 2013 Hyundai Elantra driving west hit the bus head-on, Linden Police said.

The bus driver was treated for minor injuries and taken to Robert Wood Johnson Rahway Hospital. The driver of the Elantra, a 32-year-old man from Avenel, was taken to Newark University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
