NAMI UC Hosts Talk on Substance Abuse

Dr. Singh of Center for Wellness to Speak

NAMI Union County invites the public to join us on Tuesday, May 26th at 7:30 pm for a presentation on “Substance Abuse and Mental Health Treatment Services” by Dr. Gagandeep Singh of the Center for Wellness. The talk will be held at the American Legion Post, 1003 North Ave., Westfield, N.J.

Dr. Singh is a double board certified psychiatrist who received his medical degree and completed his psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship from the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

His passion is addressing stigma against mental illness in society as a whole and within the South Asian Community.

Dr. Singh founded the Center for Wellness [CFW] in Monroe Township, which is an outpatient behavioral health treatment agency that provides outpatient counseling and offers an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adults and teens with primary or active substance abuse problems. Center for Wellness will also offer mental health IOP and PHP in coming months.
