Trinitas Resumes Visitation With Social Distancing Rules
Trinitas Regional Medical Center will once again allow visitors to see loved ones amid the coronavirus.

ELIZABETH, NJ — Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth will once again allow visitors to see loved ones following its suspension of visitations due to the coronavirus.
"We're happy to report that patient visiting has returned to Trinitas. It's good to welcome visitors back after receiving approval from the NJ Department of Health, as of last Friday," said Trinitas spokesman Doug Harris.
Trinitas had suspended visitation in March help to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Here are some of Trinitas' updated visitation guidelines:

- All visitors are required to have a temperature check and will be asked routine screening questions about travel and symptoms.
- All visitors must observe social distancing, wear a mask upon entering, perform hand hygiene, and will be given additional personal protective equipment if needed before seeing the patient.
- Visitors must be 18 years of age or older.
Trinitas is also exploring various technological options for remote visiting.
"We recognize that visiting by friends and family plays a major role in our patients' well-being and recovery," said Harris.
