Valley Road School Hosts Career Day
Elementary school children learned about different jobs from different adult presenters.
On Tuesday, May 22in Clark hosted career day.
The third, fourth and fifth grade students heard presentations from adults in different careers. The careers ranged from a pharmacist, an event planner, a physical trainer, a hygienist, a detective, a director of global health, a veterinarian, a commercial manager, a special agent, a firefighter, a magician, a respiratory therapist, a florist, an author, an occupational therapist - and a Patch editor!
"I like coming to career day because I wanted to learn about the jobs I picked and what I could become when I grow up," said third-grader Benjamin Dunford.

"We get to learn about people in different jobs and get a look at our future," said third-grader Kelsey Brennan.
"I liked the special agent because I thought what he does is cool and he helps stop other people from trying to hurt us," said fifth-grader Danny Burns."

"I liked the author because what he said was highly interesting," said fourth-grader Sasha. "He writes children's books."
"My favorite career that I saw was the florist because she had a lot of really pretty things that she had pictures of," said fourth-grader Delia Mischel.
"My favorite career was the Patch editor because I like working with the computer and like to find things out," fourth-grader Nick Duffala.
