2012 Porch Brunch & House Tour

2012 Porch Brunch and House Tour

Proud Neighbors Porch Brunch & House Tour
Save the Date: Sunday, May 20, 2012   This event is rain or shine.

May is National Preservation Month and this year’s theme is “Discovering America’s Hidden Gems.”  Proud Neighbors’ signature event, the Porch Brunch and House Tour is always held on the Sunday after Mother's Day to commemorate National Preservation month - Collingswood style! Help spread the word that historic preservation and restoration projects not only protect the places that tell our nation’s story, but also create jobs and spur economic development in our Main Streets.

Throughout our nation’s communities there are significant places that have contributed to our American experience.  Preservation projects have worked to preserve irreplaceable and tangible reminders of our roots.  Saving our heritage isn’t someone else’s job. Ensure that our town’s treasures will be protected for future generations and spread the word this May by celebrating our community’s treasures and Hidden Gems!

All proceeds from Proud Neighbors of Collingswood’s annual popular Porch Brunch and House Tour are donated back to our community to encourage historic preservation in our town, with the emphasis on maintaining the historic character of our Collingswood.

Eight homes will be open for tour and gardens are lining up for this 2012 fundraiser too! See the tour locations in the May edition of the Town Crier. There's more to our town than what you can see from our tree-lined streets.  Now see Collingswood's houses from the inside, on this year's Proud Neighbors of Collingswood Porch Brunch and House Tour.  Come discover the history, the charm, and the style that lie behind the doors of Collingswood. See various architectural styles and enjoy homeowners' creative interior design. The tour houses and gardens are open from noon until 5:30 p.m.  The designs and décor featured in Proud Neighbors of Collingswood Tour will help you see why we are proud of our hometown.  Take a leisurely stroll through our town (most shops are open Sunday afternoon) and step inside these private homes and gardens.
