Man Arrested In 4 Armed Robberies In Collingswood, Haddon Twp.

Carlos Figueroa was arrested in four armed robberies that took place in Collingswood and Haddon Township between Aug. 28 and Sept. 4.

A Camden man has been charged in connection with four robberies that recently took place in Collingswood and Haddon Township, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office announced on Friday.

Carlos Figueroa, 30, is charged with four counts of first-degree armed robbery, as well as multiple counts of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.

The first robbery took place on Aug. 28, when police say Figueroa robbed an attendant at knife point at Conoco Gas Station located at 500 South Crescent Boulevard in Haddon Township at about 4:03 a.m. He made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Figueroa is accused of robbing the same gas station four days later, on Sept. 1 at 12:01 a.m. He is once again accused of robbing an attendant at knife point and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He is then accused of robbing a gas station and a Dunkin’ Donuts in Collingswood within an hour of each other earlier this week.

At 11:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 3, Figueroa is accused of assaulting an attendant at the Gulf Gas Station located at 701 South Crescent Boulevard in Collingswood and robbing him. He then robbed another attendant at knife point before fleeing in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash.

About an hour later, at 12:31 a.m. Tuesday morning, police say Figueora robbed the Dunkin Donuts located at 5 East Crescent Boulevard in Collingswood. He pointed a knife at the employee and demanded cash before fleeing in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

On Sept. 4, the prosecutor’s office released images of the suspect in the two Collingswood armed robberies to the public. Authorities were then able to identify Figueroa as the suspect.

Figueroa was then arrested on the 1400 block of Bradley Avenue in Camden on Sept. 6. He was taken to the Collingswood Police Department where he was processed and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a pretrial detention hearing. Under Criminal Justice Reform rules, the court may order he be detained pending trial or released with conditions.
