Begin the July 4th Celebration by Racing in the Investors Bank Cranford Jaycees Firecracker Four Miler
36th Annual Independence Day Event Includes One Mile Fun Run and Post-Race Festivities
Over 1,500 runners are expected to race in the 36th Annual Investors Bank Cranford Jaycees Firecracker Four Miler on Saturday, July 4th. Competitors can register for the run beginning at 7:30 AM on the day of the race, which starts promptly at 9 AM. The USTAF Certified scenic course is flat and fast with mile splits and water stops.
Also, families with younger children can enjoy the One Mile Fun Run that begins at 8:30 AM. Children of all ages are welcome to celebrate Independence Day during the post-race festivities that include ice cream, popcorn, face painting, and many fun activities. The Cranford Jaycees will raffle great prizes as well.
The cost to register on race day is $30 for the Firecracker 4 Miler and $12 for the Fun Run. Tee shirts will be provided to all runners while the supply lasts. The race begins on Springfield Avenue in Cranford and the last quarter of the race is run along the beautiful paths in Nomahegan Park.

While encouraging everyone to take part in this healthy July 4th tradition, Race Director Jerry Iacovano, who is a member of the Cranford Jaycees, said “Many racers return each year because this a great way to begin America’s birthday celebration. In addition, we are very thankful for Investors Bank’s support as our Title Sponsor. And, the day runs so well thanks to our many engaged volunteers who readily assist racers and people who come to cheer them on!”
