Body Of Missing Autistic Teen Found, NJ Police Say
Photos show the final search that led to the body being uncovered.

PLAINFIELD, NJ — A 19-year-old man with autism who had been reported missing nearly a month ago has been found dead.
The body of Connor Oldfield, of Plainfield, was found in Green Brook near Roosevelt Avenue Bridge, Plainfield Police said on Thursday.
According to Christina Castellanos, who was helping the family out on the search, Oldfield was spotted on a nearby Ring doorbell camera walking along the river before falling in and getting back out.

Authorities then searched under the ice and found Oldfield's body on Thursday, Castellanos said.
His cause of death is yet to be released.

"We left no stone unturned in our search," Police Director James Abney said of the efforts. Local, county, and state agencies all aided in the search.
Mayor Adrian Mapp addressed the City of Plainfield and added, "We grieve with Connor Oldfield's family and loved ones, and we ask the entire community to hold them close in compassion, prayer, and quiet support."
Oldfield was first reported missing on Jan. 24, authorities said.
