On Sunday April 28, 2019 from 11:30 AM to 12:30, PM Trinity Episcopal Church, 119 Forest Avenue, Cranford, NJ is hosting a charity bake sale in Sherlock Hall. "Proceeds from the sale will benefit The Good Shepherd Home for Children in Cameroon that cares for orphaned children." said Marion Nechuta, Trinity's Outreach Team Leader. "Please join us in supporting such important, life sustaining work. Trinity Cranford sponsors two of the orphans, Daniella and Musuga," Mrs. Nechuta continued. Sister Barbara Jean from St. John the Baptist in Mendam will present details about the work of The Good Shepard Home at the fundraiser.

The Good Shepherd Home for Children, founded by Sister Jane Mankaa, is dedicated to nurturing the orphans of her country. It is located in the North West Province of Cameroon, an area with 50,000 orphaned children. Over 150 of them have found a home at Good Shepherd where they are sheltered, fed, clothed, educated and most of all, loved. Sister Jane does not turn any child away and no child is put up for adoption. The children truly live in a loving family environment with over 150 brothers and sisters. In a few years Good Shepherd Home has grown to include a dormitory, primary school, bakery, and chicken farm. They are in the process of opening a medical clinic to serve area children.
