Cranford High School Spring Dance Concert

Cranford High School presents its Annual Spring Dance Concert Friday May 8th at 8pm in the CHS Auditorium. Tickets are $5 available at the door. The concert features original choreography by faculty, guest artists and students. This year the Cranford High School Dancers traveled to the Regional High School Dance Festival in Norfolk, VA, where they took master classes and workshops with professional dancers and educators from around the country. The students attended the Teen Arts Festival at UCC as well as Dance Up! at the 92nd Street Y in NYC. CHS dance students were recently featured in the new research journal, Dance Education in Practice, in an article entitled “Thinking Skills Writing Prompts for Dance - Negotiating Common Core Instruction” by Barbara Bashaw. Senior Hayden Barry wrote a feature article for the National Honor Society for Dance Arts Newsletter detailing the dance for camera project that students took on last year.
