Cranford Local Among 7 Arrested For Drugs In Clark

Clark Police arrested a total of nine people on charges including drug possession, theft, shoplifiting and outstanding warrants.

CLARK, NJ — A Cranford local was among seven people arrested on drug-related charges in Clark, according to the Clark Police Blotter.

On Feb. 24 at 1:36 a.m., in the vicinity of Central Avenue, police arrested Kenneth Meier, 26, of Cranford for possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Michael Hernandez was the arresting officer, police reported.

On Feb. 21 at 2:53 p.m.: In the vicinity of Raritan Road, police arrested Dana Jenkins, 34, of Hillside on outstanding warrants from Union for contempt of court. She was subsequently turned over to the Union Police Department. Police Officer Sergio Henriques was the arresting officer.

On Feb. 23 at 1:41 p.m.: Police arrested Charles West, 43, of South Amboy for shoplifting from the ShopRite Supermarket at 76 Central Ave. He was also charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance (CDS), and he was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Sergio D’Andrea was the arresting officer.

On Feb. 22 at 10:14 p.m.: At headquarters, police arrested Isaac Guzman, 19, of Elizabeth for theft. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Detective Sgt. George Marmarou was the arresting officer.

On Feb. 23 at 2:26 p.m.: At headquarters, police arrested Carmen Hernandez, 60, of Bloomfield for fraud, forgery and receiving stolen property. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Detective Michael Ciaccio was the arresting officer.

On Feb. 23 at 11:47 a.m.: In the vicinity of Brant Avenue, police arrested Regin Rivas Perez, 35, of West Hazelton, Pennsylvania for possession of CDS. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Michael DeAngelo was the arresting officer.

On Feb. 24 at 10:42 a.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Elliot Lige, 36, of Avenel for possession of CDS. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Andrew Medeiros was the arresting officer.

On Feb. 24 at 3:53 p.m.: Police arrested Adrian Leahy, 56, of Linden, New Jersey for shoplifting from the Home Goods Store at 1255 Raritan Road. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Sergio D’Andrea was the arresting officer.

On Feb. 25 at 10:44 p.m.: In the vicinity of Central Avenue, police arrested Pedro Aponte, 22, of Port Reading and Brandi Herrera, 20, of Elizabeth for possession of CDS and CDS paraphernalia. Both individuals were subsequently released on their own recognizance pending court dates. Sgt. Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.
