Cranford Police made 2 arrests for marijuana possession in the township last week.

CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford Police made two arrests for marijuana possession in the township last week.
Cranford Police Blotter:
On April 19 at 6:13 p.m.: A 2012 Nissan was stopped on Raritan Road near Coleman Avenue for unclear plates. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Daniel Donnerstag arrested the driver, Rahman Daley, 22, of Brooklyn New York for suspected marijuana located inside the vehicle. He was charged with possession of under 50 grams (marijuana) and possession of paraphernalia, processed and provided with a municipal court appearance date. Additionally, the driver was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to maintain his lane, unclear plates and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

On April 21 at 10:03 p.m.: A 1996 Oldsmobile was stopped at the intersection of Centennial Avenue and North Avenue East for a seat belt violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Timothy Handy arrested the driver, Daniel Sblendorio, 20, of Mountainside for suspected marijuana located inside the vehicle. He was charged with possession of under 50 grams (marijuana) and possession of paraphernalia, processed and released pending a municipal court appearance date. Additionally, he was issued summonses for a seat belt violation, not having a valid driver’s license in his possession, no valid registration card in his possession and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
