Cranford Police Will Ticket, Tow Cars Left On Snow Route

The Cranford Police Department will be ticketing and/or towing vehicles left on snow route roads in the borough during the snow storm.

CRANFORD, NJ — The Cranford Police Department will be ticketing and/or towing vehicles left on snow route roadways in the borough during the snow storm.

All residents who park on a State or County road are required to remove their vehicles from the roads when snow covered. These roadways include:

  • Centennial Avenue
  • Kenilworth Boulevard
  • North Avenue (State Route 28)
  • Raritan Road
  • South Avenue
  • Sprigfield Avenue
  • Walnut Avenue

In additon, the following municipal roads are also snow emergency routes and prohibit parking:

  • Brookside Place
  • Burnside Avenue
  • Central Avenue (Spingfield Avenue to Craig Place)
  • Cranford Avenue (Elizabeth Avenue to Forest Avenue)
  • Cranford Terrace
  • Denman Road (Lexington Avenue to Fairfield Avenue)
  • Dunham Avenue
  • Eastman Street
  • Elizabeth Avenue
  • Elm Street
  • Gallows Hill Road (Brookside Pl to Coolidge St)
  • Henley Avenue
  • High Street
  • Hillcrest Avenue
  • Lexington Avenue
  • Lincoln Avenue
  • Manor Avenue (Orange Avenue to North Union Avenue)
  • Normandie Place
  • North Lehigh Avenue
  • North Union Avenue
  • Orchard Street
  • Orange Avenue
  • Retford Avenue
  • Riverside Drive (Springfield Avenue to Venetia Avenue)
  • South Union Avenue
  • West End Place (Springfield Avenue to Orchard Street)
  • West Holly Street

Any snow covered vehicles that remain parked on the street for more than 48 hours are considered abandoned, according to the borough's ordinance.
