Duo Charged With Heroin Possession: Cranford Police
Jack Poffenberger and Jennifer Jannucci were arrested after a motor vehicle stop, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 53-year-old Rahway man and a 30-year-old Hawthorne woman were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe after a motor vehicle stop on April 3, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, Patrolman Ryan Gerrity stopped a 2001 Honda on Raritan Road and Moen Avenue for a seatbelt violation.
Following an investigation on scene, Gerrity arrested the driver and a passenger, Jack Poffenberger and Jennifer Jannucci respectively, for suspected heroin Poffenberger had in his possession and a hypodermic syringe found on Jannucci, police said.

They were processed and provided with Superior Court appearance dates. In addition, Poffenberger was issued motor vehicle summonses for a seatbelt violation and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
