14th Annual Bloomingdale Avenue School Art Night

The Bloomindale Avenue School is hosting their 14th Annual ART NIGHT.  An evening centered around the books of Eric Carle.  This event will take place this evening, March 28, 2012.  Our students, accompanied by one parent or guardian, are invited at 6 pm to spend an evening at the school making art, fun and memories together.

This year, “ART NIGHT” centers around the books of Eric Carle, whose collage style illustrations of animals of all kinds are the inspiration for this opportunity for parent or guardian and child to work together making art.

We are reading books by Eric Carle and speculating about his works of art including what materials, techniques and skills were used.  All students will explore, learn and practice the process of painting various papers for
collage.  The students enjoy the idea of being “the expert” who will lead their parents through the process of creating their own collage.

We hope you will join us for this special event where you will be able to experience the process from start to finish. All artwork will be hung once completed and exhibited for your viewing throughout the school building.  All are welcome.
