Union County College will host an Artists’ Reception for the 2012 Art Faculty Exhibit on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 6 pm – 8 pm, in the Tomasulo Gallery. This exhibit will run through Saturday, March 10, 2012.
Comprised of nine faculty members, the artists’ work includes photography, mixed media, paintings, and pen and ink. Although some pieces are of the same genre of work, such as photography, they are all unique in their vision and meaning to each individual artist.
George Hildrew is a former Fulbright Scholar to Rome, Italy. His first painting was shown in New York City at Poindexter Gallery. In 2006, he lectured at Black Mountain College Museum and Art Center, Ashville, NC. He has a studio in Brooklyn, NY and his work has been included in numerous solo and group shows. He teaches many courses at Union, one of which is “Painting I.”

Adrianne Dwyer Kemp holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Rutgers and is an adjunct professor. She also is a teacher of art at The Little Way Cooperative and is a home-educating mother of five. Her work is mixed media. She teaches “Drawing I” at Union.
Antony Nicoli is a senior professor and also holds a Master of Fine Arts from Rutgers University. In addition to his full-time teaching at Union, he holds the position of Visiting Professor at the Academy of Art and Design, Tsinghua University and Advisory Professor at East China Normal University. These two positions are lifetime appointments. He also serves as the Overseas Artistic Consultant for Rugao Arts and Crafts Silk Tapestry Gropu, Rugao, China and the China Year Artistic Tapestry Research Institute, Beijing, China. His paintings, drawings, photographs, and digital prints have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout New Jersey, New York, the greater United States and Beijing, China.

Ivan Rubin holds his Masters in Arts Education from Brooklyn College. In his work, he photographs numerous subjects and uses them as reference for his pen and inks drawings. He teaches “Drawing I.”
Rich Russo is a commercial photographer and creating a strong, memorable image is a trademark of his work. He has dedicated his life to the arts as a creative professional, having served on the board of the American Society of Media Photographers. In his role as professor, he works to educate and encourage aspiring young photographers. He also hosts workshops and seminar for corporate and individual students.
Joanne Pagano Weber is a visual artist, writer, and performer. She is currently collaborating with the sculptor Janice Mauro on a continuing series of installations dealing with the future ramifications of global warming. She is a member of the writing and performance group, The No Chance Ensemble, which she has directed since 2001.
Joanna Wezyk has a Master of Fine Arts in painting from the School of Visual Arts, NYC, in addition to other master’s degrees. Her solo exhibitions have been in galleries in New York City, Istanbul, Turkey, and Lacoste, France. Her paintings have been in group exhibitions in Seoul, South Korea, New York City, Krakow, Poland, London, and Paris, France. She has received an award from the Artists Education and Development Foundation and the Paula Rhodes Memorial Award for Exceptional Achievement in Fine Arts.
Pico Reinoso has a Master of Fine Arts in painting from CUNY – Brooklyn College. His paintings have been in exhibitions in New York City, throughout New Jersey, and Portland, Oregon. In addition to his education in the United States, he has studied in Spain at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and in Italy at the School of Fine Arts, Lovino. He was a Heart Grant recipient for a Union County public mural.
Robert Yoskowitz is also a senior professor of fine arts and in addition to holding multiple advanced degrees he is currently a doctoral candidate in art history at the Graduate Center, City University of New York. He is a visual artist as well as an art historian, and has exhibited his artwork and published scholarly articles in a variety of books, catalogues, and journals.
The Tomasulo Gallery is located on the first floor of the Kenneth C. MacKay Library on the College’s Cranford campus, located at 1033 Springfield Avenue.
