The Frelinghuysen Arboretum, 353 East Hanover Avenue, Whippany, is hosting the 20th Annual Gingerbread Wonderland. This exhibit is open daily from 9:30am - 5:00pm until December 11, 2011 and until 8:00pm on Friday, December 9, 2011. Guests young and old marvel at the creativity, skills and sense of optimism that characterizes this charming and ecumenical exhibit of over 200 edible structures. Past year’s “gingerbreads” have included models of Notre Dame cathedral, Hanukah menorahs, Japanese temples, Chinese pagodas, European castles and neighborhood sweet shops. Held on weekends in conjunction with the Gingerbread Wonderland exhibit, is the Holiday Craft Show which is a great place for guest to find hand-made holiday gifts from local crafters. Groups of 8 or more must make a reservation by calling at 973-326-7601. Admission is a suggested $2 per person donation, $1 per person donation for Seniors and children under the age of 13, .
