4th Annual Centennial Village Music Fest - Cranford

The 4th Annual Centennial Village Music Fest will be held this evening from 3 to 8 p.m. at Lincoln School in Cranford.

Among other performances will be the Brother John Brown Band and Stupid Should Hurt, who have performed in previous years.  Attendees can also expect food vendors and many other activities.

Admission is free, although donations are encouraged.  All proceeds will go to the Centennial Village Group, a non-profit organization whose mission is the “revitalization and beautification of the Centennial Avenue Corridor,” the area between Lincoln Ave. and the Garden State Parkway.

The Centennial Village Group is run by volunteers and works closely with local business owners and politicians to raise money to carry out its mission.  This organization is primarily responsible for the new look of the Corridor, which, since the creation of the Centennial Village Group, has gained new street lights and sidewalks, in addition to other changes to the area’s appearance.
