American Modern & Contemporary Art - A PowerPoint Presentation by the Newark Museum

The program will cover developments in American art of the last 100 years. Learn how the 1913 Armory show introduced the American public to modern arts and inspired American artists to carve a new, independent identity. The program will feature examples that best illustrate the different artistic themes and expressions from a century ago until today. Featured artists include Stuart Davis, Berenice Abbott, Sol Lewitt, Duane Hanson, Chakiah Booker, Faith Ringold and many others. Admission is free and all are welcome.
