Cabaret Night: A Masquerade

Friends of the Performing Arts Department (FoPA) at Cranford High School will be sponsoring its second Cabaret Night: A Masquerade on Saturday, October 29, 2011 beginning at 6:30 PM in the upper gym at Cranford High School.   The event will feature local entertainment and dessert.  The evening will be a collaborative effort by the entire CHS Performing Arts Department.

Dessert Table:  we are seeking restaurants, stores and catering facilities to offer a taste of their dessert fare.  Tables situated around the room will feature the specialties of each facility.  As we are projecting an attendance of up to 200 + people, this will enable the community to be exposed to local delicacies and entertainment.  Please see the Form if you would like to contribute.

A Tricky Tray:  business, corporate and private donations are being sought.  We are reaching out to organizations interested in supplying internship and/or mentoring programs for current and graduating students.    Also local businesses are also encouraged to donate gift certificates and/or items for the Tricky Tray.  Please see the form if you would like to contribute.

The funds generated from last year’s Cabaret Night helped FOPA to subsidize the refurbishing of the grand piano (a $20,000 endeavor), provide funds for a Vocal Master Class, assisted with financing the Rising Star nominated production of Oklahoma!  and the purchase of new flags for the color guard.  This year, FoPA will again raise money to supplement the theater productions, marching band, and master classes or residencies for our Performing Arts Program.   If you are interested in participating and/or making a contribution, please complete the attached form.  We recognize that you receive many requests for donations throughout the year and we appreciate any contribution.   Please feel free to contact Lynn Berry   at  berrylyn@cranfordschools.org  if you have additional questions or concerns.
