Calvary Lutheran Church, 108 Eastman Street, Cranford, will host the Concordia University Chicago Concert Choir, Kapelle, on Saturday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. in a concert open to area residents at no charge. A free-will offering will be accepted.
Kapelle is the premier choral ensemble of Concordia University.
Each spring the choir embarks on a 10-day tour that has taken them to all regions of the United States. Kapelle also takes part in an international tour every four years and has performed in Europe and South America, including Finland, France, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Chile and Argentina. The ensemble most recently performed a concert tour in France in May 2011.

Kapelle also has produced six recordings.
This year’s concert program features spirituals and motets, including a variety of styles programmed for wide audience appeal.
