The Cranford Mural Restoration Fundraiser will be held on Monday, June 13, 2011. The Kilkenny House will generously be donating 10% of all profits to the Cranford Mural Restoration Project. Dated 1942, the 4 murals depict scenes from defining moments in Cranford’s history. The murals were painted by local artist Everett S. Ward and originally part of the Cranford High School Library. The murals are a link to Cranford’s past that should be preserved for future generations.
The restored murals will eventually be displayed in the Township Committee’s Chambers in the Municipal Building where they will be visible during televised meetings. Please join the Cranford Township Cranford School District & Jersey Central Art Studio on Monday, June 13 2011 at Kilkenny House to support our restoration project. All donations will be accepted by Jersey Central Art Studio and designated Mural Restoration Project. Photos of the restoration project can be viewed at www.JCAS.org.
