Music on Main Street ~The Barron Series - Woodbridge

Woodbridge Township & The “Music on Main Street” Concert Series Present, Ari Hest  Live at The Barron Arts Center, 582 Rahway Avenue,Woodbridge, on May 10, 2012 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $20.00 in advance or $22.00 at the door.

After opting out of a major record deal, New York singer-songwriter Ari Hest embarked on an ambitious independent "52" project, during which he spent all of 2008 writing, recording, and releasing one new song each week -- all from his NYC apartment.  The raspy-voiced singer then posted each new song online, encouraging fans to vote for their favorites.  At the end of the year, Hest tallied those votes and in March, released the independent album "Twelve Mondays," featuring reworked versions of 12 fan-selected favorites.

This production is part of the “Music on Main Street” Concert Series.  “Music on Main Street” was founded in 2009 and presents high caliber professional touring artists across diverse genres.  From emerging artists to renowned rock and roll hall of famers such as Roger McGuinn, Dave Mason and Nils Lofgren, you’ll hear amazing talent in the intimate United Methodist Church or at the Barron Arts Center.
